Central Bank of The Bahamas Summer Employment Programme 2024
Published: Thursday April 4th, 2024
The Central Bank of The Bahamas will afford a select group of undergraduate students the unique opportunity to participate in its 2024 Summer Internship Programme, scheduled for 3rd June to 26th July 2024. This Programme will consist of two cohorts. The first group of students will participate in a policy and research-focused seminar, guided and mentored by senior Central Bank officials. Each student will be immersed in stimulating experiences and will research approved topics in economics, banking, and finance; refine their research techniques; and write a research paper for presentation at a research roundtable. Students in this group will participate in informative discussions and have the opportunity to engage in assignments in core operational areas. Students in the second group will be able to work on operational projects in accounting, banking, currency, exchange control, information technology, and information security—gaining equally valuable experiences with hands-on tasks and responsibilities.
Candidates interested in the Summer Internship Programme are asked to submit their resumes, outlining degrees being pursued, areas of study and the year of college they are entering, together with their most recent transcript to the Human Resources Department via email at [email protected]. The deadline for submission is 22nd April 2024. For the research seminar component, consideration will be given only to third and fourth-year university students pursuing undergraduate degrees in economics, finance, public policy, mathematics and/or statistics. However, students across all undergraduate degree levels will be considered for operational projects. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
