The Central Bank Announces the 2021 Financial Literacy Video Essay Competition for Students
The Central Bank of The Bahamas is pleased to announce the second Annual Financial Literacy Video Essay Competition for primary and secondary school students. The competition which continues to be held under the get Money Smart Bahamas branding, is opened for entries through 22 October, 2021.
Entries are allowed for students in the Primary, Junior High, and Senior High School divisions. Students must produce a three to five minute video essay on a financial literacy related topic. The theme for the 2021 is as follows:
“The Bahamian economy is an ideal model for digital financial services.”
Entries will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges. Among other things, judging will consider the quality of research done on the topic, organization and presentation of material and the creativity shown in the production of the video. Students must also obtain the consent of a parent or guardian before uploading their videos to the internet.
