Public Update on the Stolen Banknotes*

The Central Bank was advised by a commercial bank that it experienced an armoured car robbery on Thursday, 2nd November 2023, during which bundles of Series 2022 $10, Series 2018 $20, Series 2006 and 2019 $50, and Series 2009 and 2021 $100 banknotes were stolen and may be in circulation.

The Central Bank was not exposed to the incident; however, it wishes to advise the public of details around the stolen banknotes. As such, images of specimen banknotes, along with serial number details are included in this release.

  • $10 banknotes (2022 series), non-sequential serial numbers.
  • $20 banknotes (2018 series), serial number range: N760001 to N765000.
  • $50 banknotes (2006 series), non-sequential serial numbers.
  • $50 banknotes (2019 series), non-sequential serial numbers.
  • $100 banknotes (2009 series), non-sequential serial numbers.
  • $100 banknotes (2021 series), non-sequential serial numbers.

The complete list of serial numbers has been provided to authorities and commercial banks, where possible.
