Issuance of Numismatic Coin to Support National Bird Conservation Efforts

The Central Bank of The Bahamas is pleased to advise of the release of the 2024 Silver Proof $10 Flamingo non-circulating numismatic coin, in a collaborative effort with the Baha Mar Resort Foundation. Initiatives like this raise awareness of and support habitat protection for indigenous species, such as the West Indian Flamingo.

The coin’s reverse features an artist rendering of two standing flamingos, flanked above the inscription “10 DOLLARS”. The obverse features the Coat of Arms of The Bahamas, together with the words “Commonwealth of The Bahamas”, which forms a crown around the Coat of Arms. Below the Coat of Arms is the year “2024”.

The coins will be available exclusively through the Baha Mar Resort Foundation.
