Published: Friday November 4th, 2022

On November 30, 2020, the Central Bank of The Bahamas announced the Continued-Moratorium-on-new-MTB-and-PSP-Licenses. The Bank has reviewed this position and advises that with pandemic conditions abated, this sub-sector is in a better position to establish a stable footing and provide expanded services to the Bahamian public. As a result, and with effect from 31 October, 2022, the suspension on new license applications for Payment Services Providers and Money Transmission Businesses has been lifted.
