Through this competition, we have had the distinct privilege of assisting young Bahamians in educational pursuits that have helped them to further develop their skills, and a number of them have gone on to promising and successful professional careers in visual arts. We are very pleased to be staging this competition and exhibition for a twentieth year, in continued fulfilment of our goals to to identify and to recognize budding Bahamian talent in the visual arts, and our sincere wish to encourage students to continue to pursue these gifts.
